Why WealthPot

For money you don't need right now.

A deliberate lock, a rate you agree up front, and custody you can point to.

A fixed rate, known in advance

You see the exact rate, the exact maturity date and the exact payout before you confirm. No market guessing, no moving target.

You can't spend it by accident

That is the whole point. Once the pot locks, the money is out of reach until maturity — safe from impulse and from small emergencies that aren't really emergencies.

Custodied with a partner bank

Funds sit with a partner bank under MamaSave Eliozu Multipurpose Co-operative Society Limited (MamaSave Cooperative Ltd), separate from the software company that runs the app.

Works with your Daily Savings

Roll a Daily Savings payout straight into a pot on Day 30 so your money keeps earning without sitting idle in between.

How it works

Four steps from lump sum to payout.

  1. 1Name

Name your pot and pick a duration

Call it what it is — School Fees 2027, Shop Expansion, Rent — then choose 3, 6, 9 or 12 months.

  2. 2Fund

    Fund it your way

Pay in fresh capital by card, transfer or wallet, or schedule a rollover from an active Daily Savings cycle.

  3. 3Lock

It locks and a maturity date is set

The rate is fixed at that moment. Your dashboard shows the pot, the countdown and the projected payout.

  4. 4Payout

    Principal plus interest on maturity

On the maturity date the full amount lands in your MamaWallet or your verified bank account, with a receipt.

Funding

Two ways to fill a pot.

Rollover from Daily Savings

Automatic

Schedule it from an active Daily Savings cycle and it activates automatically on Day 30 when your payout lands. Nothing to remember, and no gap where your money isn't earning.

Fresh capital

Instant

Pay in now by card, bank transfer or your MamaWallet balance. The pot locks immediately and the clock starts the same day.

Durations and returns

Longer lock, larger payout.

The rate is fixed at the moment you lock, and interest accrues pro-rata over the tenure.

On maturity

Decide where it lands before it lands.

MamaWallet

Instant and reusable. Spend it, send it, pay bills with it, or fund a new pot the same day.

Your verified bank account

Swept to the bank account tied to your completed KYC. No other account can be nominated.

Auto-rollover

Choose to relock at maturity instead of cashing out. The new pot takes the rate offered on the relock date.

Maturity reminders

Notifications before the date so you decide in good time where the money should go.

Trust and safety

Where your locked money actually sits.

The Cooperative holds the funds

MamaSave Eliozu Multipurpose Co-operative Society Limited (MamaSave Cooperative Ltd) holds member funds. Pearl Systems Ltd provides the software only and never takes custody.

Partner bank custody

Locked capital is held in a named partner bank custody account, reconciled daily against the pot ledger.

Admin maturity sweeps

Maturity payouts run as controlled, reconciled sweeps — not ad-hoc transfers — with dual approval on the release.

A receipt for every pot

Principal, rate, tenure, start date and maturity date are printed on the lock-in receipt and stored in your app.

KYC required

You must complete KYC to lock a pot and to receive a payout to a bank account. Bank details must match your verified identity.

Full audit trail

Every deposit, accrual entry and payout is time-stamped and traceable, and can be exported on request.

Who it's for

Money with a date on it.

School fees for next session

Lock this term's surplus so it's untouched and larger when the next session opens.

Shop expansion capital

Build the stock or rent money for a bigger space without dipping into it weekly.

Rent saved a year ahead

Match a 12-month pot to your annual rent so the landlord's date never catches you.

Ceremony fund

Weddings, burials and naming ceremonies planned months out, funded without last-minute borrowing.

Emergency buffer you won't touch

A deliberate lock so the buffer is still there when a real emergency arrives.

Fees and rules

The quoted rate is what you earn.

No setup fee, no management fee, and the rules stated plainly before you lock.

No setup fee

There is no opening, management or maturity fee. The quoted rate is what you earn on your principal.

Early exit policy

A pot is meant to stay locked. If you break the lock before maturity you receive your principal back in full, but you forfeit the accrued interest for that pot, and the request is processed within 2 working days.

Minimum opening amount

₦50,000 opens a pot. There is no maximum, though very large deposits may require additional source-of-funds checks.

Tax and WHT

Where withholding tax applies to interest under Nigerian law, it is deducted at source before payout and shown as a separate line on your maturity receipt.
